Colorado Springs, CO (7 January 2011)—Allied Associates International (A²I), a distinguished provider of expert engineering, technology and management solutions for the government customer, officially opened its new regional office in Colorado Springs. Perry Casto, A²I’s President/CEO, officiated the ribbon cutting. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the new office suite. Invited guests included prominent members of the area’s business and military communities.
A²I’s Colorado office opened last year and moved to its new location on South Murray Boulevard in December to keep stride with a faster than usual business growth. The company continues to forge its presence in the Colorado defense community while expanding throughout the federal sector. Doug Barbee, Vice President for DoD Operational Forces Support, said, “Colorado Springs is an important location for A2I to support our government customers. It is also a great vantage point for expanding our defense market share to support all services in the area and throughout the United States.”
The Missile Defense Agency, the Department of Justice, and the Intelligence Community are some of A2I’s government customers. Most recently, as a subcontractor to SGIS, A2I won a multi-year task order under the Space and Missile Defense Initiatives Support III (SMDIS III) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract from the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) to provide training and doctrine development support to the Directorate of Training and Doctrine (DOTD) located in Colorado Springs.
“A2I’s personnel are recognized throughout the strategic missile defense and space community in Colorado Springs as expert trainers, and course and doctrine developers. We are able to provide the best workforce because they are trained and certified in accordance with Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) requirements,” said Barbee.
“We are very proud that TRADOC designated the SMDC DOTD as a Training Center of Excellence, and that the major credit for that success was given to its support contractors,” added Tom Bartek, DOTD Program Manager. “Our people are Subject Matter Experts in every phase of the operation, to include instruction, training development, facility management, and security.”
The new address is 1615 South Murray Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80916. The main phone number remains unchanged at 719-623-5158.
